Oh how I hate Walmart

Oh how I hate walmart. My wife and I went there to do our weekly grocery shopping, we got everything we needed and went to checkout. The clerk rang everything up and my wife went to pay for it with her debit card. Declined. So she checked her account balance and had enough to cover the purchase, she tried her card again, declined again. I went to use my card, different account bam declined. Clerk got a crm and she said to try a different checkout lane. We went and used my wifes card declined tried mine declined again . We get on phone and call card customer service number put on hold.  after being on hold forever talked to them, they said there is nothing wrong with our cards. Clerk tried to take payment by manuelly entering number, declined, get message saying issuer declined which tells me the debit card company declined it. I tell the customer service rep on the line that we have tried different checkout lines and it is on their end they said it isnt. We in mean time try to withdraw cash from atms at walmart, declined.  so far this has taken well over a hour. I finally ask clerk if she would hold our items and that we were going to try a different atm she said she would.  We leave walmart and go to a bank across the street, declined both cards. I thaught of a different atm that I use all the time and drive across town we get there and I go in and success I was able to withdraw enough cash to pay for groceries back to walmart and paid for them.

I figured it had to do with walmart system communicating to debit card company. The bank we went to is owned by walmart, the last atm was not owned by them.  What a nightmare.

You want to know what's sad? I can believe it. Wal-mart is terrible about most aything that has to do with it self. I think it's because wal-mart wants to save itself money, but somehow f*cks it up in the process. xD

That is so true. I hate shopping there but cant afford not too.

Have you tried shopping at Aldi? It's pretty cheap to shop at & has a lot of good food as well as deals. Idk if there's an Aldi out by where you are, but if so I suggest trying to shop there.

Very sorry to hear that . I guess the best thing to do is to find a suitable competitor and shop there instead!
