Don’t be fooled by the sunny skies, an arctic air began to chill Chicago overnight and caused temperatures to plummet from 34 degrees Monday to minus 2 by 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

All of northeast Illinois, northwest Indiana and southern Wisconsin was under a wind chill warning starting 6 p.m. Tuesday until noon Thursday, with a wind chill advisory in effect until the warning period begins.

First off, let me go on record saying that this is the first time that THE WEATHER is a major story here at Bethea's Byte.

Secondly, I was able to gather this bit of information from AccuWeather.com for what's happening in Chicago.

    TEMPERATURE: 6°
    RealFeel® -13°

Then I come across this weather headline that scared me a bit.

AccuWeather.com wrote:As polar vortex tightens its grip on midwestern US, AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperatures plummet to -75 F

To all those in the midwest, a word of caution: If you don't have to go out, please STAY INSIDE.  STAY WARM.  DO NOT GO OUT IN THAT BITTER COLD IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO.

    Just Saying
