Summertime, Your Kids, Your Pets and Your Car
3 posters

Welcome once again to an all-new Free Byte. As I'm typing this, I think about all of the news reports of kids and pets being left in hot cars... left to die in those hot cars. So I'm actually writing this short Free Byte as a Public Service Message to all of you parents out there. Not just parents of children, but the parents of your "fur babies" too.
To all of you, I beg you, PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILDREN OR YOUR PETS IN A HOT CAR! Soon, the calendar will turn to Summer. With the change in the calendar, comes a change in the weather... as in an increase in warm temperatures. This is as simple as 1-2-3. The hotter it is outside, the hotter it will be inside of a car. On average, 37 kids die in hot cars each year. Last year, 51 kids died in hot cars, and your pets fared no better. 58 animals died in hot cars in 2018... and that was just the ones that were reported. There are hundreds that have gone unreported.
Here is a breakdown of how hot it can get inside a car as the temperatures rise outside of it.

So again, this is a public service message to you all. The best thing to do is to leave your kids and your pets at home. If you insist on taking them with you, take them with you wherever you go. You will save more lives. a lot of tears and broken hearts this summer.

There have been way too many stories in the news about children and pets being left in cars on hot days.
Show some responsibility people.

Sad that we have to hear about this every year
. I do hope people are going to take responsibility, before tragic consequences arise.
